About The Department :
The EEE department was established in the year of 2002. The main
objective is to provide high quality trained manpower to meet
the requirements of the competitive world. The field of Electrical
and Electronics occupies a unique position in the area of science
and technology which was the best mind of this country and
also the highest rate of obsolescence.
The Department has constantly been adapting its curriculum, academic, laboratories and to stay among all developments in Electrical and Electronics field.

Association :
"GAMEE- Group of Advanced Manifesto Electrical Engineers.
Association was started in the year of 2004 with the aim of
improving co curricular and extra curricular activities. A team
of staff members and student coordinators stearing the association
with their greatest potential.We are conducting aptitudes,
group discussions, test of verbal and non-verbal reasoning for students through our association.
Seminars and lectures were conducted under general and technical aspects by skilled persons from various Government organizations
and reputed companies.
The EEE Dept. of sun College of Engg & Technology celebrated
its second National level Symposium 'Blaz 2K7'on 1st & 2nd of
March 2007.
The function was inagurated by lighting the kuthuvilakku by
the chairperson of sun and udaya group of institutions, Mrs.Amutha
Thayaparan. Dr.G.Pavithran, Chief Engineer (HRM) Kerala state
Electricity Board was the chief gust for the event. Our Principal
Prof.D.Xavier George gave the presidential address.then the
felicitations were given by our special officer prof.C.Selvamony,
Vice Principal prof.M.Kathirvel, HOD Mr.Arumugom and by the
HODs of various departments.
The chief Gust gave the felicitation and followed by he presented a seminar on "Conservation of Energy" Momentos were presented to the guests of the occasion. After the inagural function, in the afternoon session, students from various colleges presented papers on latest topics of Electrical Engg.
second day Morning session various competitions such as Tech
quiz, Debate, mock interview etc were conducted between the
deligates and our college students. In the validectory function, by
releasing the magazine of the symposium 'Blaz 2K7' our principal
Prof.D.Xavier George gave the validectory speach. Momentos were
presented to the Guests of the occasion, teaching staff and
non teaching staff of our Dept. by our principal. Then prizes
and Certificates were distributed to winners and particicipants
of various events by the principal. With the National Antham
the function came to the end.
